Clerks (retronym: Clerks: The Animated Series) is an American animated television series based on Kevin Smith's 1994 comedy film of the same name, and was developed by Smith, writing partner Scott Moiser and David Mandel. It aired on ABC from May 31 to June 6, 2000.

The series continues the lives of clerks Dante Hicks (Brian O'Halloran) and Randall Graves (Jeff Anderson), who go on wacky misadventures in their hometown of Leonardo, New Jersey. The two deal with stoners Jay and Silent Bob (Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith), Leonardo Leonardo (Alec Baldwin), and guests including James Woods, Charles Barkley, and Judge Reinhold.

Why It Was CancelledEdit

Despite a decent ammount of promotion, ABC canned the series by airing episodes two and four out of order, and the huge ratings of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire only made it more obscure. ABC cancelled it after six completed episodes, four unaired, and the show found success on DVD.
