King of the Hill is an American animated sitcom created by Mike Judge and Greg Daniels.
The show centers on the Hills, a middle-class American family in the fictional city of Arlen, Texas. It attempts to maintain a realistic approach, seeking humor in the conventional and mundane aspects of everyday life.
Why It Was Cancelled Edit
Although it began to rise in Nielsen ratings during seasons 10 through 12, Fox announced in 2008 that the show was cancelled, coinciding with the announcement that Seth MacFarlene, creator of Family Guy and American Dad!, would be creating a Family Guy spin-off called The Cleveland Show, which took over King of the Hill's timeslot. On August 10, 2009, Fox announced that the show would conclude with a one-hour series finale in place of a planned fourteenth season, which was to air during the 2009-2010 season. Four remaining episodes that were scheduled to give a proper finale were aired on Adult Swim on May 17, 2010.
