The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is an American animated television series by Marvel Animation in cooperation with Film Roman, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers. It is part of the Christopher Yost Animated Universe a series of animated television shows and films that share the same continuity, which includes Wolverine and the X-Men.
The series mostly focuses on the roster for the original Avengers, composed of Iron Man (Tony Stark), Ant-Man/Giant-Man (Hank Pym), the Hulk (Bruce Banner), Thor, the Wasp (Janet Van Dyne). Later members include Captain America (Steve Rogers), Black Panther (T'Challa), and Hawkeye (Clint Barton), and together these superheroes must come together to defend the world when some of the world's most dangerous villains are set loose upon the world.
Why It Was Cancelled Edit
On June 12, 2012 it was announced that the series would not be picked up for a third season in favor of production for a new animated series, Avengers Assemble. Fred Tatasciore and James Matthias III reprised their respective roles as Hulk and Black Panther for the new series. Additionally, Drake Bell returned to voice Spider-Man for guest appearances, while the other members of the team share their voices with their counterparts in the separate Ultimate Spider-Man series.
